What I would like to do is set up a permanent email address for spam and the rare email that I actually want.
I do not want to go anywhere near gmail or the likes.
Somebody point me in the correct direction please.
EDIT: Not using my own credentials obviously!

If Australia is a democracy why, then, is voting compulsory?
"What has changed between the arrival of the First Fleet and today?"
"Wearing leg irons is now not required."

It's only a password reset option.... don't you already have an email address that's already getting spammed to death? (ie; hotmail =)
Guerilla Mail might do what you want, not sure...(typically I just setup my own mailserver if I need something like this)....but....I have a gmx account setup with password recovery pointing back to my 'worst' email account (hotmail again =), and it's been like this for 3+ years, and the gmx account has 'stayed clean' the whole time (not leaking from hotmail to gmx).
Guerilla Mail is an 'anonymous' email server. and used to have 'disposable temporary email accounts'...not sure if they still cater for such.

Just don't use a disposable email provider for Austech, as we ban them due to the amount of SPAM we receive.
@mtv, no it is not for Austech
@efab - I am familiar with and have used disposable email addresses
@wotnot - I use SMM on my Linux machine so I can see where the emails are coming from and delete the undesirable ones from the server without the need to download them ( similar to mailwasher on Windblows). For that reason I do not have any other addresses. Just thinking does the gmx one have to be genuine?
Guerilla Mail seems to be just "disposable" now.

Tried to create an email address yesterday and kept getting error messages.
Tried again this morning and the closest I get is an error message "Character sequences do not match"
Even more cryptic than a DOS error message.
