    Default SBS invalid channels

Hi Folks any one having trouble with SBS NT & SA ch's : 380 & 350 coming up invalid channel ??
These have gone in the past few days. The technical manager at NAS for VAST seems to think it's an SBS issue at their head end. VAST Admin are at a loss to know about it and directed me to UEC at NAS for technical advice ( even though I'm using a SatKing box). Getting 106 TV channels during the boot sequence but no longer SBS SA & SBS NT.
Anyone else notice this ??? I have tried factory reset, rehit etc. SatKing have just had an OTA update as well.

Not sure if/how it's related, but I see the LyngSat site indicates there was an update on the 8th about these channels. (a local friend with VAST says they're getting the same here in QLD)

If I can chuck in ten cents worth This "behaviour" seems to be a prelude to the integration of the 16apsk format introduction as done with ch9 on intelsat 19 to jam more channels into a single transponder worth a thought ????

None of the VAST receivers are capable of decoding 16apsk Multistream.

I dont think "they" care?or if they care about receivers ,the object seems to be jam as many to the available sats and the public will pay for the services provided?

If they want more bandwidth, they could start with removing shopping channels.

But then again, even normal channels are getting flooded with "But wait, call in the next 10min and you get...".

It's interesting the amalgamation of some ABC and SBS channels.
It's getting similar to ABC 24 where it's the one channel Australia wide.

The loss will be those wanting local/state news content.

Those Viceland channels are now 1080p HD.

Default State-based bulletins on SBS Television

SBS do not have state-based bulletins. They air one national bulletin from their Artarmon studios and time-delay this into non-Eastern Daylight states (Queensland for half the year, South Australia, Northern Territory and Western Australia).
