Sexual Consent App
OK, I have had this idea for quite some time but maybe I might have seen something like that on a SciFi show a while ago.
I watch so many SciFi shows, I am not sure and this may have actually been a comedy SciFi.
Enough SciFi.
Now our top police are considering it:

Well we need an app for everything nowadays, so what makes this any more ridiculous?
I think it is a grand idea!
If done properly I don't think it can be manipulated.
Facial recognition technology is so advanced an AI would immediately detect fear or discontent in the facial expression, if the person were forced to agree using the app.
The Me Too movement is causing a huge element of doubt if a person had sex in the past without consent and innocent men have been convicted only rarely to be released due to a few women actually having a conscience when they finally admitted they made up the story.
There is a huge 'grey zone' when a woman seduces a man, both under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol and then the woman wakes up next day regretting the action and calls it rape.
How can we keep those cases away from real rape victims?
If I were a young person looking for sex these days I would be so shit scared I would actually avoid sex with a woman altogether.
This may eventually reduce population growth in the western world but nothing like this would have an effect on overpopulation in the Middle east, Africa or India/Asia.

Information about you could be purloined like it is now and used by anyone that gets it, or buys it.

Battery issues aside, any smart device can be used.
The app can assure privacy while records are held by a gov registry. Sure the Chinese could hack it but I am also sure they have better to do than taking note of everybody's dating history that can be easily acquired all over the social media.

Not my app, I only said I had the idea before that head of police suggested it and Denmark introduced one.
If the gov really goes ahead and releases such an app the jurisdiction must stand behind it otherwise it is indeed totally pointless, intoxicated or not.
When people get intoxicated they must accept the consequences of their actions, always.
You don't get off killing somebody while driving drunk either.
But if the man got violent, she would have the bruises or other injury to prove that and can still have him charged.

I agree something has to be done , and an app of some kind is a step in the right direction. I doubt if any information held by the Govt via the app will ever be secure though - imagine some hackers getting into your phone and using the data to blackmail you.
I'll stick to the old fashioned methods for now

I wonder if all this is realistic. Thinking back to my past when I had it off with various ladies, these events were never planned, they just happened as a natural progression from the great time we were each having with each other. Stopping to use an app or a form or whatever would have caused our ardor to take a nose dive and both of us would have become very disappointed and nothing would have happened.
Never did I feel inclined to force myself on the lady, if either of us wasn't interested, then neither of us was interested. If we were both interested, then it just happened.
I dont know about apps etc whats wrong with straight out "do you want to fark me " recorded on your phone then ignore the answer which you want to do any way otherwise you wouldnt have asked or you had too much jim beam on board and anyone will do untill the morning and you wake up with a huge hangover and chew off your arm to get outta there even if you cant find your undies and feel disgusted just in case you did do it but you cant really remember the results any way , or didnt remember her having a beard at the pub so "it" must of broken into her place and seduced me cos its not my place ???
There is a process, and all the relevant parts of the process have to do their job. The Police, the investigators, and above all the courts. If one part fails, then nothing substantive happens.
I think it's pointless bullsh!t trying to tech your way out of human nature. To stop getting horny to use an app is going to be a joke. To me it just plays into the mindset of those that can't talk, communicate or socialise without using a f*cking phone....sadsacks.......

And that is what has changed! ... to answer Enf's question.
Everything has become extremely complicated these days, nothing is natural anymore with the dependancy on today's tech and social media and now with these new movements for all woman to call out whatever they think might be inappropriate even if it happened way back in the past.
Women need to protect themselves from sexual harassment or rape and men need to protect themselves from these women.
FWIW I never approached a girl even back then, they came to me but that was not very often and when it did happen, that usually ended in some kind of sexual activity over a longer period of time although a few times I also missed some signals but in hindsight I think maybe that was my self preservation.
I never wanted ongoing relationships before I was 30.
