    Default cvko.exe & ckvo.dll virus

    Recenlty i have scanned my pc for virus & have detected ckvo virus & cannot delete it. Can anyone help. thanks in advace
    Symptoms so far , cannot open folders or drives through my computer.

    Try and use malwarebytes to remove it. You may need to run in safe mode (press f8 repeatedly on boot) to install it.

    You can run msconfig (Click Start --> Run.. and type in msconfig) and remove cvko.exe and dll if there from the startup, reboot then delete cvko.exe and the dll. Then run malwarebytes.

    wow you saved me a lot of time malwarebytes did the job. is this a new virus ? thanks man

    malwarebytes is pretty good.

    One google sources say "The filename CKVO.EXE was first seen on May 9 2008" and there are also the same thing with dozens of other file names. One source names it "kamsoft" trojan.
