yep those are mechanical key board switches , i think aliexpress has them real cheep
Hey all, trying to help a friend solve a problem with this dual microswitched sensor, I have looked around on image search but can't for the life of me find micro switches this small or orientation. No numbers visible on the switches as they are epoxy coated.
Anyone seen anything this small = approx. 6mm x 6mm visible?
Orange bits are the switch buttons
This shows the actuating rod, sans pin that should be in that hole.
Cheers, Tiny

Thanks, you hit it right on the head.
Tactile switches 6mm x 6mm.
Never had to repair a keyboard, so never saw them this small.

glad to be of help don
VCRs used to be full of them on the front panel, and they come in different stem lengths. So if you have an old VCR sitting around, you might be able to cannibalize some from it. I threw out a container of about 50 of them a while back.
Edit: Just looked at the pic again, yours look like edge mount (side mount) switches, similar to these:
Some of the old tube TVs had them too.

Actuator colour tends to suggest it's a Fujisoku brand switch

I encounter these switches on a regular basis and they respond well to a simple squirt of Elecrolube Contact Cleaner aimed through the gap beside the pin.
Squirt and activate heaps then repeat. Have not needed to replace one yet.
