Default Defaulting Tecom Smart Card Readers

Hey guys been getting abit more involved with Tecom units, but how do you default a smart card reader if you dont know the 4byte code for the reader to recognise the new default config card? Am I missing something very simple here? I have made a new default config card with my new site 4 byte code but the readers will not even acknowledge the card. I dont want to sit on site and try guess thousands of different options for the code.

    Cheers

Have not done this for a while, trying to remember... Have you tried powering down the reader, then badging the new configuration card on powering up?

Yeah I powered down and had the new config card next to it with no luck.
I also tried it with the reader in offline mode and still no luck. I'll just have to ring tech support on Monday. It's probably something very simple but it has beaten me.
