WOW! That's so good, I'll say it backwards, WOW! I'm guessing that it will probably go up for auction and fetch a very pretty penny, too!

Now you have me jealous Red! I've always liked the XT, but an XR like that is right up my alley. What's the engine? 170 or 188. (IRC they didn't go 200 or 221 until the XT) Doesn't look like a 289, but it could be. Tranny? Auto, RATS box?

It has a 289 and stage 3 C4 auto and 9" 3:25, also power assisted steering drives really good. The color is standard Polar White, bucket seats from xr sedan, it drives really good

I bought it, didnt even have to find it as the family offered it to me.
If i ever sell it they get first offer to buy it back.....

I just did the minimum to get it safely driveable.

    Brakes and cooling system only.

Yep, I'm using the penrite classic oils/coolant/valve saver.

I used the penrite classic oils in my old pommy bikes as well.

When I saw that Valiant in the photo, fond childhood memories emerged but only of a short time period.
My father had an AP5 Regal in the 1960's which was so smooth and looked cool and I felt proud when my dad picked me up from school with it.
Unfortunately my father hated the Regal and bought a brand new VW Fastback a few months later.
I hated the Fastback, noisy ugly thing.
It was that bad that I was ashamed to go to school.
I always made sure that my parents let me walk the 1/2 hour school path each way, so I get my 'exercise'.

I only got interested in cars again when he bought a Ford Capri in the 70's.
