I noticed the new watermarks today on my terrestrial channels!
They are up on Optus 10 now
Channel 7 advertises Olympic Games will be broadcast on 7 & 7mate in HD.
A scan on all VAST channels shows GWN7, 7 Central South, 7 Central North are still SD, but all have 7mate as HD.
Wonder if above channels will be in HD in time for the games.

There's absolutely no chance of that happening. 7 Central and GWN7 both use a system of terrestrial retransmitters that can only output in old MPEG-2 digital video format. They can't launch any new channels in MPEG-4 terrestrially, which is required to get a second HD service (7HD) on air. They could just do it for satellite VAST viewers and leave the terrestrial retransmitters as is, but since most of their audience watch their channels through these transmitters, I doubt this would happen either.
WA VAST Ch 85 now '9 Life' running on WA time - not networked. 'Sky News on WIN' gone !
