I wish people would stop living and thinking for the moment.
In my OP I predict that these space hops WILL get cheaper, THAT was my point of this thread.
Now I assume you ignored my post #14 where I explained why.

I see no reason why these 'amusement' rides can't cost 30k pp or less in 10 years time.
I can manage to put away 3k a year which goes all in growing shares with dividends anyway but that certainly does not make me filthy rich, anybody can do this with a bit of effort and research.
These days(before Covid) you can hardly experience anything on a proper trip to Europe under 20k unless you are a young back packer type of person.

Yep, flying in aeroplanes used to me amusing. Now it's routine.
traveling by sea used to be fraught with danger. Now people do it for fun.

Space travel might look like a dead end, but lets compare Blue Origin's cost compared to a NASA sounding rocket.

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm........

The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

Yeah, don't read too much into that enf. It's business as usual. These challenges are common and often fail. But the relatively small investment in some breifcases can have some big payoffs. It's the company equivalent of buying a lottery ticket. I haven't been able to find it, but Planetary Radio Space Policy edition did an episode on this subject.
It's mildly interesting why they do it and what the outcomes are from it.

Sounds like an ambit claim.....Lot more money involved though I guess...

    Chapter 3

SpaceX' s 'tourist' space flight is now up and away:

    ...scroll to 4:17 for launch.

At least this is a proper space flight, not just a short bounce out of our atmosphere like the other two.
They have to sit in those seats for 3 days in that small capsule and eat cold pizza

I read somewhere that two passengers are actually pilots(not for space craft) but you never know if some of that knowledge could come handy if something with the automation goes awry.
They all did some astronaut training though, so we are not quite ready for the general tourist with this one.

The actual cost for each seat is somewhat distorted as 200million will go to charity.
