Default Trouble Accessing a Particular Website

I am trying to login to graysonline but keep getting error 404 messages.

I have tried spoofing the user agent (UA) with Firefox UA - same.

Tried with a Chrome UA - same.

I have contacted their help desk and all he can suggest is clear cache, cookies, browsing history - a later email suggested Chrome hence my spoof mentioned above.

    Any ideas?

PS. Installing another browser is not an option.
If Australia is a democracy why, then, is voting compulsory?

Is there any way of finding out exactly what the login requirements are - I don't mean email address / password.

The reason for this question is that I have , probably, thousands of addresses in my host file to stop as may ads as possible - could one of these be causing the problem?

To answer my own question I could go back to the vanilla hosts file and try again.

Yes, some sites will not give access to pages if an ad blocker is used.

    I have experienced this.

That was not the problem - not sure which hair to pull now!!

@wotnot, grasping at straws - would you post your user agent for me please?

EDIT: I should state that I have no trouble negotiating around the site - I just cannot login.

They aren't using Cloudflare front-end screening access by any chance?

I've had issues logging onto a website lately due to Cloudflare issues.

Another possibility... are you using a VPN?

Do that - for current session only.

I am more than somewhat confused.

FF on the tablet - works.

Brave on the tablet - works.

Next step wotnot's UA. EDIT: Doesn't work.
