Default Tecom "Invalid Site Code" but Last Code Read shows info

I have a v8 panel, have just wired in a Wiegand 26bit fingerprint scanner and can verify that its passing Wiegand data, as when I go to the Last Card Read I can see the user and site code sent by the scanner, If I change the site code, the new site code is send so I know its definitely sending the correct data.

    Program the site code in 19 - 20, Site code 1 = 255

Last Card Read = User 3 Site Code 255

But when checking menu 5 - 2 I get Access Denied - Invalid Site Code.

Any ideas? The reader is connect to a smart door controller.

    Thank you

Is it a new door controller?

If its a 4 door you need to program the site code into it.

And upload everything to the controller.

Thanks for the reply, it is a single door controller. SMART door controller.

Have you assigned the door and the user to the same door group?

Yea I have assigned the door group to a user.

But even if this was not done or incorrect it would not report as a "invalid site code" but rather access denied "user void" or something else, why's it stil reporting a invalid site code?

    Thanks again

Did you put in the site code as “255” or “000255”?
The system only accepts 6-digit site codes in system options.
