Have you got a box to try the card in as it might just be your reader and software???
Well i hope so for your sake
I have had nothing but bad luck tonight.
My Grey Wolf Server has been playing up - Looks like the hard drive is on its way out so I pulled out another old laptop and started setting that up.
In the process I must have slipped somewhere & the wrong power lead got hooked into the card reader while the whitey was in it - I pulled it out real quick but sure enough things do not work anymore I can not get an ATR from it now......
The card reader looks like it has gone to heaven as well (if only it was that).
As I had another reader as well as an old public whitey I know the reader and set up is OK .......... Arrgh
I know at one stage after this mishap Grey Wolf was starting to read something from the card - Is there anything still worth trying.........

When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
wack it in a humax.
My Reader and software are OK as I have an old Public card that I can get an ATR from (At least the Public card is good for something sometimes)
I have a Humax and like what z80 has said I will stick in there anyway... although I have already done this as well... what a terrible night last night....
I know how you feel. I stuffed the serial port on a 5400 by not disconnecting the power before removing the cable. The only positive thing is that you learn to double check everything you do from that point on.
Yep the whitey has gone to heaven - No go in the Hummy
It is a hard way to learn to be careful when you are mucking around with these things...
Up for sale yet?
there is a program that suppose to repair the ATR, its called ATR Repair you could try that first before cutting it up ???

don't know what a humax is supposed to do, unless they have some magical properties i am unaware of.......
see if you can clean it with the panda loader.
at least then you can get a seller to reload a bin on it.
Ive tried it with no luck.
Program ran for 3 days and zippo.
Got a link for that program guys

if you look at this program, it was written in 2001. appears to be for canal cards which were seca 1 back then i think.
very much doubt it will do anything with any current cards....
