Question Using Tamper Switch Resistors on External Siren

    Hey Guys,

We have a Bosch Solution 880 and we are replacing our external Siren with a SECOR SC03 which has screw terminals installed. To wire up the tamper switch, I thought we could utilise these terminals on the siren by installing the 6K8 resistor on the siren itself.
My only concern is the resistor potentially becoming damaged/rust from the weather, even though it is enclosed in the box.

The resistor doesn't go on the siren, but on the tamper switch wires.
There will be a spare space on the terminal strip to link the resistor to the wires.
Then just wrap the terminal strip up in insulation tape to protect it from the weather.
