    Default Old Solutions 16 issue

    Good arvo,

I have an old Solutions 16 alarm in the house that I just purchased. I have managed to install a new battery and put my own user code in, but I have a communications error that I cant get rid of.

Is there a way to disable communications so the error disappears? I don't want remote monitoring, so if I could turn this off somehow it would be great.

    Thanks heaps

Edit: I believe the error is because we have no phone line, so it keeps trying to dial and cant.

You will need an install code to disable the dialler function properly.

Did it use to be monitored?

I don't think domestic dialling would generate a comms fault. (alarm dialling to mobile numbers)
You could try disabling domestic dialling as in the user manual.
Mastercode +2+# will then read back if there is a number. Or if there is 2 beeps heard then there is no domestic numbers.
If there is a domestic number do * + # to disable it.

    Hey,

    Thanks for replying.

I looked in the manual and it says something about the 8 error still displaying if the dialer is not disabled in zone 663. Just need to figure out how to do that now.

    Thanks heaps

    Default

You will probably need the Installer Code for that and go through the Installer Manual.

Default is 1234 but if you can't find the code then you'll have to default the panel, which means you're gonna have to program your system all over again.

Here's a copy of the Solution 16 (CC880) Installer Manual
