    Default Pantech PT-WH2950 Weather station readinig negative temperature

    I bought a Pantech PT-WH2950 weather station about 4 years ago, it has a roof mounted unit and an internal LCD screen that suddenly started showing a negative outdoor temperature. I've changed the batteries in the outdoor unit but no change, any ideas before I replace it?

    Is the temperature correct except for the negative sign. Could just be the a LCD issue.

    No it's not. Having thought about it a bit more it looks like either the sensor has failed or there is an open circuit to the sensor - I've seen it before with commercial HVAC controls.
