    Default Hikvision notifications

I’m curious to know exactly how quick notification are coming through for anyone who has them set up on their Hikvision nvr,
If I walk into front of the camera and set off Ann event I would pretty much get a notification pretty much instantaneous, within 1 second, I deleted the Hik-Connect app recently and reinstalled it, and now seems to take about 5 seconds,
    What’s everyone’s thoughts on this?

Well at least it still works. I wouldn't complain about 5 secs.

Could try rebooting the NVR and log out and log back in on the app.

Ive found it can come anywhere between a few seconds to 3min, If it takes longer than 5 its not coming... Depends if the device receiving the noti is on the same WiFi network or working over the cellular network. Also dont rule out missed detection by the camera itself...
While its a great feautre and generally decent delivery time its not to be depended on like a traditional intruder alarm, its still delivered via IP traffic and can get buffered, prioritised or at worst dropped on its way round the world from where ever the Hik servers are to your phone.
IVMS notifications are pretty much instant but thats usually because the NVR is talking locally to the software on the same network.

I've found exactly as Mr Resistance. Even on the same wireless network it can be instant to a couple of minutes. Also depends if it is multiple detections, as in tripping a line crossing back and forth in quick succession.
