They seem like a valuable instrument if left unmodified there have been some ham articles about these on the internet.

Hello, I have just obtained a set of CA 1000 Slave and master Tellurometers.
What is a Tellurometer? It's a device used in the surveying industry to measure distance over undulating terrain and long distances.
They are old, 1960's tech.
Why did I buy? Because they contain a 10 GHz Full Duplex FM transceiver system.
So, I am looking for a manual for these. Some information I have found show that they are tunable over 10.1 GHz to 10.4 GHz with a range of upto 30 KM.
The HAM in my peaked when I saw them for sale.
If you can assist with info it would be appreciated.
Thanks

"Have Spectrum Analyzer, - Will travel".

in theory, ignoring the DME side, using it as a 10GHz FM Transceiver, working within the bounds of the 10 GHz Ham band (10.000 - 10.500 GHz), it should just work without modification.
So, retaining its "value" to whomever.
I gotta get them working first. The master is blowing fuses so that will need sorting.
