Written by Luc Besson & Robert Mark Kamen and stars Liam Neeson (Batman Begins, Kingdom of Heaven, Star Wars ep 1...).
A retired spy uses his skills to retrieve his estranged daughter who is kidnapped by slave traders whilst visiting Paris. Neeson's cold blooded and steadfast manner in dealing with those in the way to rescuing her make for an excellent fast paced non-stop action movie. There are a couple plot holes, but this is the type of movie where you put your mind in neutral and cheer on the hero as the baddies get what they deserve.

was a decent movie i liked it
I saw it a couple of weeks ago on a dodgy burnt DVD , I also thought it wasnt bad.
Was that the one with burnt Korean subs? There is a high quality R5 (Russian DVD release with English audio dubbed in) version out now that needs a short subtitle file for the few foreign language parts.Originally Posted by Sanity

i say it's one of the best movie of the year.
Saying its not bad from me usually means its pretty good. I rarely watch new movies because the vast majority are pathetic.
trailers looked awesome, waiting for 1080p tho.

yea this movie and Nesson kicked ass
me and my mates were watching it and saw some similarities to the Stallone one where someone wiped out his family so he went looking for revenge, it was also similar to the Scwarzenegger movie were someone wiped out his family so he went looking for revenge. but not to be confused with the Van Dammne movie were someone wiped out his family so he went looking for revenge. i also heard that Segal was making a new movie where someone wipes out his family so he goes looking revenge.
i heard Neeson is making another action movie too where hes out looking for revenge and accidently wipes out his own family.

I thought taken was the best movie i had seen in ages, I shat myself when he told the mob guys he was going to kill them over the phone.
Better than transporter and the bourne stuff .
