Dahua Firmware Update Issue

I have made a school boy error by updating the firmware on my Dahua DHI-NVR4104HS-P-4KS2 NVR to V4.001.0000005.1

The software finds my cameras which are also Dahua (DH-SD22204T-GN) and the status is a green tick, but when I add them it loses them and shows a red dot suggesting they are off line?? All worked well before the software update, just not now! There is obviosuly a tick in the box somewhere, it's just where...any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Where did you get the firmware from? Aust Dahua website? Could be a region issue if got from another website.
I did the firmware update on my test nvr which is the same model and same firmware. Working ok. Did firmware upgrade on the 24th Dec 21. What was the build date of the firmware you used? The 6 last numbers after the R

Maybe the camera firmware needs to be updated. Or default nvr and add cameras again.

There is a post image button on top toolbar of Austech website which links you to- Or search in Austech toolbar for posting image.


This website will host the image then you copy the weblink created into your post and images can be viewed via link or thumbnail.

I got the Firmware from the Dahua website ()

The build date is 13-07-2021.

I have no idea how to update the firmware of the cameras as the Dahua site does not hold any firmware as far as I can see!

I will have a try at uploading the images and hopefully this will help you to help me :-)

Thanks so very much again - I was literally just about to Factory Default through the Config tool

'Image' is the picture when the software finds the camera - the already connected camera at the bottom is my VTO which is plugged into a PoE Router as my NVR does not have PoE?

'Image 1' is where I am at - as you see they go from a green tick to a red dot which Google says they are 'Off Line'

not sure with your system but with my nvr for the cameras to be visible and record
they need to be on the same ip and subnet range.


i see with your second pic the only camera working is the one for front door being on same ip - subnet as nvr.

From my limited understanding of TCP/IP etc. because the VTO is not plugged directly into the NVR, my router gives it the IP 192.168.1.8 - but with the cameras being plugged into the NVR, the NVR allocates the IP - I could be wrong here???

go into your router and set cameras to a static ip and subnet in the same range as the working one....

i disable the nvr dhcp and set static ip on cameras.

i like everything in my setups to have static ip's so
i know what is what straight away

Yeah VTO would be added as a network device and have IP address from local network and not from POE ports

I am having similar issue. After the upgrade all the cams are showing red status. I tried the factory default (firmware remains V4.001.0000005.1) how ever all the cams (IPC-HDW4631C-A) are having same IP address as before and still having red status. NVR address is 192.168.1.108 and cams are having IP address (10.1.1.66 onwards assigned by NVR) . I could not modify the IP address of camera to 192.168.1.X range. Any ideas?

Are all the cameras plugged into the NVR? The POE ports have their own range - which will work.

Did you put in the same admin password as before the firmware upgrade? - cameras will be set to old password
