    Default The Djokovic Saga.

As the saga continues, I thought its time to start a new header outside the Coronavirus thread.

Before Djokovic travelled to Australia Immigration issues the visa knowingly ….He is not vaccinated… He comes to Australia to Play Tennis.

To be deported there must be a violation of any of the visa conditions.
The minister has authority to cancel a visa but must show grounds. After all we are made to believe Australia has a democratic, non autocratic regime.

In order for the deportation order to be upheld, The feds must show grounds where and how any the conditions of the visa that was issues to him was violated.

Currently there is no law in Australia which make it an offence for an unvaccinated person to play tennis.

Stay tune for episode 3 showdown tomorrow.

No, but there is a law that makes it a serious offence to lie when completing an immigration form. There is damning evidence that he did this. Sorry, cough… he “made a mistake”.

If it was anyone else, they would have simply been deported and not set foot outside the airport. If they had the money to appeal it, the legal system would have taken days or weeks to process the appeal. Somehow, “because good at hitting a ball over a net”, his case gets dealt with really quickly.

It is a crime however to provide a false declaration on a travel document, which he allegedly did, claiming it was his agent who filled out the form stating Djokovic had not travelled in the preceding 14 days to his arrival in Australia.

It would be a reasonable expectation for his agent to know his travel movements in minute detail and quite likely the agent arranged them, just as he did for his travel to Australia.

The person responsible for any declaration stating the information given was true and accurate is Djokovic.

Djokovic has admitted he not only travelled to other countries, but did so knowing he was positive with Covid at the time.

Being an unvaccinated tennis player has no relevance.

Incorrect, no matter what can be or not be proven the Minister has the discretion to decide whether he stays or goes, ultimately nothing has to be proven or disproven.

Watching a septic sports show earlier this evening. The djoko saga came up.

I have to admit I was a tad surprised. Neither of the hosts had a smidgin of sympathy for him and expressed the view that if he lied, we should toss him out....and I reckon a few other countries might just get in line. One of the shows hosts stated that based on reports, he wouldn't believe a word that djoko said.

he thumbed his nose at the rules in his own country and in Spain and the same here he thinks that because of who he is that don't Apply to him it reminds me of the USA in the fifties when they did not apply to certain people some very famous names got away with blue murder at times it is time they showed him they do apply to everyone and kick him out

A poll I saw this morning stated that 71% of Australians asked wanted him deported.

LOL!!!.....they're playing the percentages placebo!!.... oh, I do love these....

number of participants in said poll == 1,607

number of AU citizens (roughly) == 25,000,000

percentage of Australians involved with said poll == 0.006428%

So lets try that again, in plain speaking English -- Of the 0.006428% of Australians interviewed, 71% of those responded they wanted him deported!! =)

I guess if those 1,000 odd NSW health care workers that got laid-off due to their non-vaccinated status, weren't in the 0.006428% of Australians interviewed ; if they had been, I bet you could flip this result on it's head B)

...gotta love the mass media spin doctors

You can do bullsh!t rationalisation maths on ANY poll. They can only ask so many people....jeeez, you don't want much. You're spin doctoring yourself FFS!

I would say most don't want him here, even if he wins in court. Again, he shouldn't have access to our courts in the first place IMO.

Of course the Serbian President supports him. What else do Serbians have to celebrate? Not much.

Could it be other reasons behind visa cancelation?
Seems some Australian mining companies financial interests were threatened.

That's also BS reporting, as he stated his opposition to it, but the Serbian Govt did not fold to his wishes, according to the same article the deal went through. I may not agree with many of the comments posted here on a variety of topics and I may comment as such, but that does not mean anyone who happens to support me will support me on all points nor does it mean that they will not stand up for me on other topics. Admin and I may not always see eye t eye, but this is HIS show, so I play by HIS rules. Regardless of what Serbia thinks, Djokovic is on OUR TURF, he's got to play by OUR RULES. wonder how this would have all panned out if his name was Bloggs who couldn't play tennis, or the media were ignorant of this situation.

He'd be gone with little or no fanfare....unless he claimed refugee status then the bleeding hearts would be involved bigtime.

Depends if you're a bookie or not =)

As to the courts access, that was my first wtf moment with all this...via what mechanism had his wigs gained access to our court system? Seems like they slipped this one under the table, when not many were looking..

'The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (the Court) has been established by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia Act 2021, bringing together the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia. These reforms received Royal Assent on 1 March 2021 and commenced on 1 September 2021.' --

You have to riddle me this batman, by finding/looking for Federal Court of AU guidelines/jurisdictions which operate under the auspices of co-operation with other federal court systems around the word... this link made me laugh, every now and then I think I'm viewing an online scam site =)

Somehow, his wigs found some latitude within the scope of that court circuit's authority, to have the matter arbitrated by a judge. I dunno about you old'mate, but this should've played out like it did for other would be players (no, GTFO), or even like in those 'border patrol' teevee shows -- you tick the wrong box relating to a condition of entry, it's bye-bye, try again in a few years time...but when you're rich&famous and have millions to to throw around, any publicity is good publicity..it's how the money ball rolls B)

As to this newly formed but not year one year old federal court system we've got...TA-DAH!!..isn't it great to see in action? (one should really read pages at the first link above). I began wondering about their use of the YT platform, which last time I tried to watch, turned out to be unwatchable (and seeing as they were having issues they're end as well, I'll just muse their NBN connection choked =) What's next, monetization of their channel?

It's a strange world mate....like I said before, let him play, let him catch the koalabear variant, he has to wear an approved mask at all times when on court, he has to have a RATs test and the end of every set, tennis balls are disposed off in hazardous waste bins after every game...you are allowed to have a sponsor's logo on your masks... are we having fun yet?
