    It's all good, my important stuff is backed up on another raid 5 array which is disconnected while main unit is online.
    It can be accessed Independently via Windows etc if required.

    I've done everything qnap recommends, so we'll see what happens....

    Apparently this was a known exploit, fixed in December firmware update....

    Only 3 to 4 thousand known hits so far...

    I'd like to know how many of them were running latest firmware

    The only files it didnt destroy were >so i was lucky in one way that everything i had designed etc i managed to save so far.

    MKV - MP3 - and ones from my propitiatory software that i use and have weird file types such as crv lbtr

    The exception being 1 hardware and 1 software firewall, and that used to do pretty much nothing better but slow the system down.
    Bit different here. Lulu can totally block Apple system data that Little Snitch misses. Haven't heard of conflicts using the two or had any speed issues.
    Update: A deletion of features that work well and ain't broke but are deemed outdated in order to add things that are up to date and broken.
    Compatibility: A word soon to be deleted from our dictionaries as it is outdated.
    Humans: Entities that are not only outdated but broken... AI-self-learning-update-error...terminate...terminate...
