Default Covid claims music legend Glenn Wheatley

Legendary Australian music producer Glenn Wheatley has died of complications from Covid-19 at the age of 74.

The man who masterminded the rise of John Farnham to huge success and other Australian success stories from Little River Band to Delta Goodrem passed away in Melbourne on Tuesday.

It is understood he had contracted Covid over the Christmas period and had been in intensive care over recent weeks.

Glenn was bassist for The Masters Apprentices in the 1960s, playing on the hits Turn Up Your Radio and Because I Love You.

He was the manager for the Little River Band, John Farnham and Delta Goodrem.

    Another loss to Australian music.

Thanks for your music and inspiration to Aussie performers, Glenn.

Last saw him live with the Masters Apprentices as part of the Go Show Gold Tour.
