Default VAST Decoder - which is the best.

    Hi guys,

Have had some problems with the old Altech DSD 4121 decoder with picture break up etc., Decoder is around 10 years old so I would rather buy a new one than be bothered messing around with the power supply and some parts.

There is the Altech UEC DSD 4921 and the Satking DVBS2-980CA decoders. I have looked up reviews and they both have had mostly good reviews with the Satking being just a tad more expensive.

Who gets the top vote? Might just toss a coin!

    Thanks.

The Humax 1003s was good but you would have to grab a s/hand one.

Hi, While the 4921 is a replacement for your 4121 it is still worth repairing. Yes the 4121 does have a few problems they can be repaired to provide continued good service.
The 4921 is better placed if you need to record or use some of the features where Satking is a tad cludgy. Just my opinion though.
