Default Covid - anyone here have or had it?

    Has anyone here had/have covid?
If you have, what were your symptoms?

3 of my family have caught it in the last few weeks.

Grand daughter 6yo - tested positive 1st May, temp and headache, other than that she was her normal self, now testing negative.
    No vaccines given.
Funny thing is that her mother never caught it from her, double vaxed with Astra and no booster shot.

SIL - Teacher - tested positive on Sunday 13th, body aches all over and a bit of a blocked nose.
Double vaxed with Astra and Pfizer booster shot.

Daughter - Pharmacist - tested positive on Tuesday 15th, blocked nose, scratchy throat and occasional dry cough.
Double vaxed with Pfizer and Pfizer booster shot.

No ; not vaccinated ; thought perhaps I had something halfway thru Jan, got a RATs test only to discover it doesn't detect omicron (either strain) ; had to get routine bloods taken beginning of Feb, got the vampire to pull a PCR test while I was there - came back negative.

Niece caught it first week back at school ~ slight temp, a little lethargic but otherwise fine (has had worse headcolds)...unvaccinated, as are her 2 siblings and parents ; no-one else in her family caught it ; niece is still unvaccinated.

I have no idea if I had it. Had cold like symptoms on and of few times - never tested. Can't bother with tests unless I get serious problem.
Double vaxed with Pfiser, no booster and trying to avoid the booster for as long as possible. Grown up enough to isolate if not well without polies telling me what to do.
My relatives overseas already had 4 shots of Pfiser (two boosters) and got the covid recently describing symptoms like from 3 days flu.

Youngest son now locked away in his bedroom with Covid, like WhiteOx said, temp and headache only. If his mother catches it, it may be the end of her as she has lung problems

Got it 3 months ago ,
Knocked the hell out of me for the first few days , literally couldn't get out of bed , weak , bad flu type feeling .

Intense hip and lower back pain for a week ,
    Sore tongue, loss of taste,
Mouth sores that lasted 3 weeks ,

Had first vax and was due for second shot when I contracted covid .

    All seems OK now

That sounds like fun, like my second vax.
First had no reaction worth mentioning. The second started to take me down after 8 hours. Usual viral symptoms as body ramps up interferon.
Then for the next six hours I became Australia's best endurance breakdancer. I dragged my sorry arse to the shower and stood under hot water shivering uncontrollably. I bombed it with 60mg Codeine and finally fell asleep at 4am when the monsters started to come out.
Interesting enough they followed me into the underworld. When I woke up 12 hours later I could have written the script for Gremlins 3 movie.

Third vax.. meh, nothing to report.

I live isolated enough that it would be very difficult for me to get it.
I can't remember the last time I had a flu. I think in the last 10 years I've had it twice and a cold once.
But I'm interested to hear what symptoms people have had who got it.

I had it, but not confirmed..

    Wooly head, loss of taste.

If it wasn't for loss of taste, I wouldn't have known

    I wasn't vaxed

Had a slight fever this week, bit tired.

Maybe had it again, got 10 free rat tests here but can't be bothered testing myself....

That's weird I know a few people who have had family members infected and tried to catch it to get it over and done with - but couldn't catch it no matter how hard they tried.
I read somewhere it might be genetics - that's why some people get sick and others don't.

It's an odd thing. One of the original deaths from the Ruby Princess passengers was a freind of mine. Got the sniffles, diagnosed, hospital, ventilator, dead....all in a bit over a week. She was a healthy middle aged mother. Her girlfriends who were on the trip with her got nothing. No jabs of course as it was too early.

My BIL and Sister got latest strain this past month. BIL is a doctor, has had the booster. Got sick anyway. He says the latest is very virulent and spreads before the host knows they are sick. He says the booster is a must for the latest as it is several magnitudes more effective. It's not over folks...

Friend has had it and I had to isolate for a week because I had dinner with them the night before diagnosis. The other people in the house didn't get it. Here's the laugh. the Victim and her Hubby were both allowed to be free of Quarantine a week after she was clear, the other member of the family had to remain in isolation for a further 7 days because she was a "close contact". INSANE!

Given the present sutuation in China, it certainly isn't....

Unless of course, Vlad and Xi cure the world with radiation therapy.

Well, one of my daughters partner now has it. Knocking him about pretty badly apparently.

They are isolating at home. She's OK atm....

Double AZ and pfizzboost...oops, he hasn't had the booster. My kid has.

My SIL had is showing a faint red line which still indicates a positive test but since he's done his 7 day isolation he's been given clearance to return to work - go figure.
    He's a high school teacher.

Took my daughter 2 or 3 days before she caught it from her partner, at least that's when she got a positive RAT result.

Had my booster couple of days ago and the worst thing about it was a sore arm the next day. I did not even feel the needle go in when he stabbed me.

Speaking of boosters and the vax in general....
WIth my eldest dughter being a pharmacist they're allowed to give the vaxes.
She was telling me of one client/patient who came in for the vax - he wasn't an anti vaxxer as such but he had to do a 20 minute prayer and chant over the pharmacist and syringe before he would allow her to vax him.
Needless to say when he came in for his 2nd shot he was handed over to someone else to have the honour, hahhaha ... fvck they see some funny shit.

I wonder what ceremony he performs before having sex then?
