I am after an application which can open ifz files for viewing.
I am after just a simple extractor or viewer. Couldn't find anything on the web, so maybe some fellows members here have knowledge they can share with me.

I found this but don't know whether it will be of any help to you.

Thanks kevs and xnavyman, no joy here unfortunately. Looks like I am dealing here with a specialised file format developed by Omron.
Will try to contact them and see what they have to offer.
Thank you all.
this is supposed to do it......
what exactly is the file ? a disk image ?
I have a bit more information on the file, it's sort of image of Win98 based industrial controller (vision system) with all system settings, logged images and so on. I need to analize the data on my PC and therefore I need this app. Looks like I found source of it and will wait until tomorrow for the application.
Thank you all, I don't think it will be a third party software anywhere found to deal with this specially encrypted data.
Hello Everyone !
Did anyone find a solution to convert the IFZ files ?
The FQ product is still quiet new in Europe and I can't seem to find any software to convert files automatically.
There is a software ByrToBmp that allows the conversion but it has to be done manually.
I'm looking for a way to convert the files on the fly as soon as they appear in the dedicated folder...
I hope one of you can help me !
You're my only hope !
Thank you !
Seb
A bit of digging around suggests it may be able to be opened by other archive managers if you are lucky.
Thank you for checking Redwight !
I actually did a lot of digging... The ifz file mentionned in the page you linked is about compressed disk images.
Omron's IFZ files contain compressed pictures from one of their vision sensor (either FZ or FQ...).
I keep on looking and i'm in touch with the local Omron support teams, but it seems the FQ product has been released in your area some time ago... I was hoping one of you guys had already solved this problem
yes
boot to a floppy A drive with win 98 on it
at the prompt, type fdisk
that will fix it
