My Mother has long gone, but my two boys did remember this year without prompting.

I expect many members here have lost mums (and dads) including myself and we remember them and what they did for us and often we don't realise how much mums (and dads) do until we have our own children.

Agreed MTV. I lost mum many years ago, and hardly knew my dad (died when I was 3). As my kids grew I realised what it was that I was missing by not having them in my life. I'm glad that I'm around to see their kids grow.

I've just spent 4 weeks with my daughter and her family in QLD. It's been quite enjoyable and I'd certainly like to live nearer her to spend more time with them, but, I also have a son in Darwin and would also love to live nearer them, too. However, I also have two sons near me in South OZ and also enjoy spending time with them and their tribes.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
