Then why not post it for anyone who comes across this thread?

If your on 3, begin your message with *c# and it will strip your number.
I would also like to know how to do this on a telstra sim, as atm im having to harass the ex with web based sms's.

I've heard mixed reports that this also works with optus (some).

    Cheers, RHCP.

Sender information is still stored by the provider of the service and can be extracted if required.

For anonymity, use a Telstra public phone and do it from there, just make sure there are no witnesses, video or otherwise.

    Sorry guys
Can you remember if it went something along the lines of *_ # ? ie leaving the middle character unknown ? Coz normally as you know, mobile command type codes normally start with * and end in # (setting up something).. In any event, any pointers much appreciated.

BTW i'll match the two slabs

yeah if we know the two delimiters we can all just start experimenting.
I have heaps left under my cap each month, so I could pump out quite a few attempts

ICQ years ago was the best way to send msgs to vodafone users via the web. It supported Telstra and optus for a while to but they all stopped and I gave up icq not long after! It was anonymous and allowed upto 180 characters but wen you ran out you just had to load up a different username. Now that was the coolest! Would be cooler if it was still around.
Sorry I know this is off topic a bit. So is there a code for vodafone?

Millions of websites used to offer anonymous or spoofed sms messages.
Gmail is about to bring out free sms sending from their chat plug-in.

But we are talking about mobile originated messages.
