    Default Waeco/Dometic compressor controller 101N0500

    Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone has access to schematic for Waeco/Dometic compressor controller 101N0500, works fine on 12V but AC fails with display flickering on fridge. The board is coated in some rubberised substance and is surface mount/double sided so I'm loathe to dig around while it's still working on 12volt. Rather get some service information first.

    can anyone help?

    regards,
    Glenn

Been here, attempted it before...could not find any info/schematic for the unit anywhere, like a multitude of others 'out there' with this fault, the same pair of mosfets had blown...given no data and having to check everything, 'speculative' replacement of 'equivalent' mosfet type not guaranteed to be a fix (might be controller IC and at powerup the mosfets explode again =)...it very quickly becomes a rabbithole you don't wanna go down.

Simplest solution that's cost effective, is buy a 240vac to 12v external power supply and use that to power the DC in of the fridge -- even a 12v/10amp (120w) power brick is under $30 on ebay (how many watts you actually need differs from fridge to fridge,,,ie; maybe a 6amp supply will do)..... but that's way cheaper/easier than having to go the repair route....the DC inverter section of the danfoss boards go on forever =)
