Yeah I was thinking about this too but cant test as my 2.3M dish is out of action due painting and 5G RUBBISH. I'm waiting for a twin Feed horn, Two Filters and 2 LNB's for 5 G so I say my setup would be better than the 5G filter that I got from ebay to fix 5G rubbish. I bought from ebay 3.7 to 4.2 which is usless.
I get the ABC Australia on Intelsat 18 which is RHC but it low on power but I hope with my new set up I dont lose to much power otherwise I wont get it on a small 2.3M Dish.
Express Amu 3 satellite at 103E 3925 RHC Sr 35386 DVB-S2 8PSK Fec 3/5 is in biss so a Auto Biss box should get the Key and you still can extract the key for other boxes too

A mistake in the initial reports, its in fact LHC , should load best in Vert if not using any plate. Can you get the one on 96.5E? it would appear the beam footprint is more "global" than whats on the official website.

96.5E T.P also loads without plate 3925 just fine 2.7M perth

I'll check both those Sats out when the weather gets better. My sat hunting days are behind me and my actuator has long seized up. I'll have to move the dish manually. I should be able find both sats if the signal is strong enough. I was able to track an old inclined russian sat about 12 years ago when I first set up my 2.3m C band dish. I had 2 actuators on my dish to move the dish up and down as required due to the sat moving around during a 24 hour period. Just gotta find my diaelectric plate as well.

Found an old Octagon box which has Biss on it, so hopefully I can find AMU 3.

I guess you have long pockets, The "twin Feed horn, Two Filters and 2 LNB's for 5 G" you are waiting for should' be the Narrow Band models, 3.8 to 4.2 GHz... Vodafone/TPG 5G now on 3700MHz. Once the 5G signal passes into the LNB amplification circuitry, the whole 3.7 to 4.2 Spectrum is effected and hence your previous 3.7 to 4.2 became "useless"...

The TP's your refer to, are from 3675 to 3785 MHz well inside the 5G spectrum. Unless you live in some faraway land without 5G coverage, Express AMU3 at 103.0°E, can not be received. Nowadays working C-Band urban dishes fitted with narrow band LNB's cannot receive anything below 3800MHz.

    3875 RHC RT News

    and AMU3 @ 103E
    3925 LHC Russian MUX

are being received fine in Perth on a 2.7M without any plate inserted, no 5G issue have been observed on either sat. Its worth trying

Express 103 @ 96.5E - I can receive in Melbourne with a plate inserted. 3925 RHC loads as 1TVRUS vostok. (Perviy Kanal). Signal is low but quality is good.

AMU3 @103E does not load. I get a faint signal but nothing locks . I spent a good couple of hours tweaking dish, lnb and inserting plate but to no avail on this one. 2.3 m Dish.

Except for 3925 RHC, showing encrypted, the other TPs' not updated yet on guess due to recent events, Russia is activating global beams to improve media coverage.

Information to late for me as I got twin filters specs 3.7.to 4.2 on the twin set up and the same for the LNB's 3.7 to 4.2.

There are 2 Satellites using a "global" type old style russian beam.

The one at 96.5E Express 103 this has russian "perviy kanal" and since past few days RT News (loads as synterra) both are fta and use a global type beam.

The second satellite Express AMU 3 @ 103E which in Perth is the strongest is a mux of 20 channels, BISS encrypted (but numbers are all over twitter and facebook)

Joffa , your 2.3M probably has trouble with splash from the side from 105.5 and 100.5E

Because the beamwidth of a 2.3m isn't sharp enough to block out 2.5deg either side , sidelobes see the other 2 sats. Only solution a bigger dish...

Express 103 96.5E 3875 RHC Sr 11121 DVB-S2 QPSK Fec 1/2. I can get this transponder in Melbourne. Signal is crazy low 10-12% but I get good quality and no drop outs. Propaganda is disseminating freely in OZ again.

FEC 1/2 the lowest FEC, it makes for good reception in low signal levels.

I have to replace my XML file in my Vu Duo2 and I will add the Express 103 96.5E in it so I can scan Express 103 to see if I can get it. Job for the weekend if it does not rain or rain hard.

Replace my XML file for sats from 100 Deg E to 177W. When it come to Express AMU 3 on freq 3925 I get it all the 20 odd channels. Quality its 40 to 42 steady no drop out on the signal bar but I have noticed that my Receiver does not report BISS, NOTHING.
I found the key if its correct 101010 .. .. .. .. 50 but nothing happening, no picture or audio.

I used my cheaper box the V8X auto biss and it auto calculated the key and got pictures on all 20 channels. Now I will extract the key to see if the key is correct and try to add it on my difficult to please Vu Duo2
