Amplifier relay

Howdy all,
A friend of mine is trying to repair an old Rotel Rb-1070 amplifier.
It needs a new speaker relay. The relay has a bit of an odd configuration so I suggested bringing wires out off the board and using another relay but he want to keep it as built.
So just to see if anyone can help to locate one I'll include photos. The relay coil is 24v.

PS I have asked for the dimensions of the relay, still waiting to hear.

That's a 12vdc replay, not 24vdc =)

Yeah pretty close that one. I see Jaycar has a 24v one too.

Wotnot, I don't know how you found that one. I did a thorough search on ebay and that didn't turn up.

I'm not really sure you can use the jaycar part ; I suspect the relay contact pinouts are different to DEC relay type MSLU

Yeah I guess without closer inspection there's a risk in buying it, but I think it could be modified :
Lift the lid, Clip and join 2 wires each side, then remove 8 pins from underneath.

Maybe ...DEC relays are/were made by daiichi-ele.co.jp and were used by a number of Japanese audio gear OEMs ; each relay type had an alpha-numeric descriptor as they often used custom lead patterns/spacings along with specific contact wiring arrangements. They were also very specific when it came to contact construction/metallurgy....ie; these aren't just power switching relays =)

Unless the coil is open circuit, why not just clean and re tension the contacts ?

Very unusual.
Carefully check for dry joints to the coil.
