    Default F1 - Silverstone Crash

    WOW....!!!

The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

Most exciting thing to happen in F1 this season B)

The other observation was that Silverstone is one of the few circuits on the F1 calendar that is long enough, wide enough, and of a layout that actually allows these new 5 METRE LONG cars to actually 'race'....so we saw a bit of racing again for change =)

    Room for improvement here:

The halo very luckily took over the role.

If it weren't for this crash there would have been another one, more likely with fatalities as at the same time the crash happened, protesters against F1 using oil(I think they mean CO2 emissions) managed to get on the track.
Running in front of cars doing over 300km/h are a step up from our local nut cases who just lock themselves to a car or bridge.

Hamilton and Vettel sympathise with the protestors but not their methods.
F1 going electric by 2030 is mentioned but I think there will be a problem with the exclusive rights of Formula E.
Not worried about battery range or hydrogen, they will have that nutted out by then.

Yay, we have two F1 threads now. Also a step up

It could be argued that the blade did its job and the halo performed as it should. As for idiots running onto the track. Maybe all F1 cars should be fitted with cow catchers, like on old railway locomotives, and awarded points for the number of "protesters" "collected"..
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
