Encoder wheel
Here's a hairy one for you.... and a long shot.
My computer steering wheel has bit the dust. The fault is a cracked encoder wheel which allows it to slip on the motor shaft.
Any ideas where to buy one or buy a device I can pull one out of ? I don't want to pay the ridiculous price they're asking for a used one.
Wheel is 60 hole, 5/8" diameter x 1/8" shaft.
I have thought of just super glue to the shaft but I ain't too sure how long that would last. What do you think ?

Might be worth trying the washer trick I'd say.
Makes sense to me ~ will give the part more rigidity than just gluing the small cross-section at the crack.....(note all the expensive replacement parts are metal, which would be a total fix)

I ended up purchasing a metal one from Aliexpress $30.
In the mean time I used loctite so I can use it and check for other problems and it seems to work fine.
Arrived last week.
Packed in a spiffy little tin. Excellent.

Yeah, they like to do the 'value add' move on things they know they're charging a lot for....like sticking bits in a $2 tin box ...(I've got number of =)
Just FTR, you can also get plastic ones off Etsy -> (these used to be about $12 + $8 postage a couple of years back, but since c19 etc etc...it's worth the extra $10 for metal =)
