Default An Very Interesting Teensy Project !

My Sister is leaning on me to do this project for her for a wedding

It has been a while since I have been on the tools but I consider it a challenge, I do believe this is doable, sourcing the hardware locally in Melbourne would be perfect, I am really keen to understand if anyone here has done this or a similar project, it will be appreciated to hear what to look out for before I dive into this (assuming I still go ahead with it)

Video URL is also here - Alastair does a great job of walking and talking through his project too. The software programming gets a little out of my depth but again a challenge I should be able to manage

Looking forward to hearing any feedback, many thanks in advance !

Nice, interesting project ...your real challenge will be the same as mine -- acquiring a/the suitable tellingbone =)

That is to say, later this year I hope to find time to finish off some electronics projects, one of which I'm calling the 'double one nine four device' -->

There's a link in that for the aussie Richard Peach vocalizations ("at the third stroke, it will be....") & UK's Pat Simmons for that distinctive English female vocals.

Idea is to be able to pick up hand-piece and dial 1194 like we all used to do because it was free...(the Big-T started charging for it)...and you know what the ear-piece is going to say 8)

A teensy bit OT here 'coz I'm using an esp8266 nodeMCU .... but an interesting telephone related project none-the-less =)

If you are talking about the old dial type phones, that is the easy part.
I must have at least 10.

Want to sell one? Easy enough to source one from ebay, but I'd rather pay my money to a forum member -- PM me if interested =)

When I first saw this, I thought it was a project to turn an old rotary phone into a mobile one. That's a project I have been researching and documenting for some time.
Others have already done it, but with variations on the theme.
Making an audio recording guestbook is a very novel idea as well!
