I estimate the rebuilding has been going on for 30+ years, and look how many first draft players they have got in that timeCarlton are back to re-building for the umpteenth time.
Geelong did a study of how many draft picks went on to perform, and it was not many so decided to stay with mature performing players. So far seems to have paid off BUT remember the year the only game they lost was the Grand Final
