All I can think of is the builtin TV guide that's part of the Freeview FV app...
Instead of installing separate Apps of each of the FTA broadcasters, Is there a single App one can install on the Android box to access the 5 FTA neworks 7,9,10,ABC,SBS and for them to appear in a similar line up as when they are tuned via the VHF/UHF antenna ?
Cheers,

That link, 8MM, while good, does not show all FTA channels in Aust, only ABC and SBS.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
Have you tried the Freeview app found in the play store. Some channels need you to install their app and sign in but at least you can can watch them all in one app.
There is another solution an app called "Aussie TV FTW" found in windows store and you can chrome cast it to your smart tv. Note: search for the app in google and it will take you to the link, for some reason if you search in windows store finds nothing.
Helping hand :-)
Yes there are a few. In fact, Android TV has a built-in app called Live Channels which can give you a free-to-air EPG like experience, but the trick is finding a playlist with all the Australian channels to feed these various apps. This is where it gets hard because the networks don't really want you to tune into their channels without using their apps or Freeview-approved stuff. They don't really publish a combined playlist, preffering to go it alone and have you pick a network and stay with it (7+, 9Now, iView, etc)
But, plenty of people do it and the end results can be quite rewarding and in many aspects is better than free-to-air over UHF/VHF antenna. Kodi is a free app which works great. It has roots in the Linux media centre scene but is available in the Play Store for Android TV too. It's a big project designed to be a one-stop media centre app for all video and audio purposes. But you can just use the Live TV part of it so it looks and feels like a FTA TV app.
Tivimate is another app which I recommend over any other app out there. It's super fast, very customisable and looks beautiful. It has a very small yearly fee but it is well worth it. Give it a playlist and a TV guide file and it will look and feel just like you're watching TV over the air.
PM me if you'd like more info.
Agree TIVIMate is great or with PVRLive you can also record, you will need a playlist. Check link for your'e state

Thanks,
No problem this morning, probably best not to do this sort of thing the morning after a huge night............
Working perfectly on the shield using lg tv remote. unfortunately lg app store is a bit limited, there is probably an app that will work with this playlist, but i cant be bothered trying them all when its working perfectly on the shield.
Audio only showing as stereo, but i have it set to passthrough.......
Im using Live channels with PVRLIVE on Nvidia shield, Using shield remote all works good and recording is pretty stable. Recording to 256GB Usb Drive
I'm using LG remote as it's all I need to watch TV. Just turn tv on and shields boots up to previously watched channel, also TV remote has coloured buttons etc which work with the app.
Channel change is almost instant, much faster than the tuner on even a high end TV. Boot up is quicker than TV tuner.
Plus way more fta channels than ota here.

My 2c. I have a computer hooked up to my TV, whatever I want to watch, I just fire up Firefox and stream netflix, hulu, and any number of other streaming services along wit the Assie FTA streaming services. If need be, I could probably also set up a VPN to watch foreign stuff, too, but I don't watch that much TV, so it ain't worth it.

had a play with it all today and got it all working on Tivimate which I use for my IPTV stuff.
Better than using a VAST box with different zones
Interestingly the only local ' full hd' (1080p?) channel is tvsn.....
Nearly all are 'hd' and 7 shows as 50 fps

anyone having problems with the seven network do a rescan and that should fix it, plus 7 fast channels have been added around 40 channels
