Dion dt800pvr- Strong 4356pvr
I have one of these units and have been using for fta at parents place for ethnic channels. They no longer need so have brought home to set up aurora for young fella. Anyways..........
It doesnt have a card slot but has 2 ci slots.
When I go to the ci option in the box it tells me both slots are uninstalled
Tried to install freecamd 901633 Rev 1.2 (version 19 or 21 I think. Purchased from Austech user) there are no options to install cam and I cannot get into the setting to install the cam.
System info is.
SRT4356 PVR
Firmware 1.3 Feb 23 2005
Bootstrap V001

They are just plug n play, If anything once plugged in, if it doesnt initiate, turn off box and try again.
From past experience, all that should happen is CI Cam Initiating should appear on screen, and all should work fine, might be a dodgy cam, have you tested in another box?
Cam is good. Had it running on my Humax.
Thing that worries me is (I think) shouldn't the cam settings in stb show
"empty or not installed" rather than uninstalled
Also tried cam this morning on mates Dream box 7020 and it picked it up straight away.
should say empty, maybe firmware needs updating or restting in box.
