Any trick to backup SSBB?
Is there any trick to make a backup of SSBB from the orginal PAL disk?
I am having no luck at all. I have wiikey 1.9s installed & I used Verbatim DL+ to backup the game.
Wii has no problem recognise my backup disk but was getting disk read error message during the game intro screen when played.
I tried a few disks already with burning at different speed, 2X, 4X & 6X but all getting the same error.

If the Wii can recognise the disk at all then your procedure is probably OK....Media is the first suspect, also did u set the layer break in the right place?

Some older wii dumping tools (RawDump for example) do not support dumping dual layer images.
There is a tool called Friidump that will do it for you.
Heres a tut with pics on how to use it from the command prompt in vista. Make SURE you let cmd run with administrator privliges!
Grabbed this info from somewhere else...
Type: friidump -d f: -a
(NOTE: f: is for my "LG" drive. Go to my computer and find out where you drive is located and put the corresponding letter there. For example, if your LG drive is the e drive then type -d e: -a, g drive would be friidump -d g:-a)
Hit enter and the dump should start.
After that completes, burn the iso as you usually do. Not sure about layer breaks though. i THINK its 2084960 but i'm not sure. Google is your friend here Good luck.
Many Wii's struggle on Dual layer(SSBB), even on original, so on burnt media it gets worse.

Thank u all for your replied here, much appreciated.
I thought the layer break was for NTSC release only. The only layer break I can find is 2084960. Is this the same value for PAL?
