    Default hello all

    I haven't posted here for awhile but I was wondering if any body still new the dos command what let you get a text document showing all the file information of a hard drive

    Dir <drive label>: > listing.txt

    You can usually see all that using windows file manager, and, usually more info than the old Dir command would do.

    drive label is the drive name eg : c d ect

    if you want ALL the files of a C drive:
    DIR C:\ /s >LISTING.TXT

    The /s is to include all sub-directories and the \ after C: is to start from the root of C drive

    Hope that helps
