Xbox and Xbox 360 dvds use a different file structure to standard dvds, and thus cannot be read in standard pc dvd drives. All you will get is a short video clip saying insert this disc into an xbox 360 console.
There is a couple of ways to rip 360 games.
1) If you're 360 drive is soft-flashed, you can connect the drive to your pc, use a 0800 boot disc and start ripping with say xbox backup creator. The downside to this is that you need to pull apart your console each time you want to rip a game. Not the best approach.
2) Buy a specific samsung dvd drive for your pc (s162c i think it is). This is what i have. Flash the drive with kreon firmware, open xbox backup creator and click rip. Pretty simple and works every time. I have made isos/burnt a few games sucessfully using this method.
Once you have an iso (downloaded or ripped) use imgburn or dvd decrypter to burn them. Make SURE that you set the layer break (in settings > iso write mode) to 1913760 for each game or it will not work! This step is critical.
With all cds/dvds you burn, make sure you use quality media! If you don't you risk shortening your drives life as well as getting poor readback performance. I personally use TDK double layer dvd-rs for 360 games. About 12 bux for a 5 pack. Quality is great, and playback is indistinguishable from an original disc.
