Howdy boys and girls,
Thought I'd jump aboard and introduce myself.
I stumbled across the site purely by accident, looking for some info on Garmin sat navs and looked around and decided to stay!
I'm on the other side of the planet from most of you, although some would question whether I'm even on the same planet!
I'm an exiled Scot, forced to live in the Lake District in the U.K. It's, er, adequate! The little hamlet I live in is spooky and stuck in the 1600's (and that's considered modern!).
They bow down and pray if they see an electric light, eat their first born and it's the only place I know where a Father's Day card has a distribution list attached!
I guess I'll spend most of my time in the Garmin sub forum; I buy broken sat navs, repair them, clean and restore them to rude health, add the missing pieces, plus a few extras such as voices and vehicles etc, then donate them to local charities either to use or sell on for funds. It's a nice way of recycling and everyone wins.
Anyway, take care out there folks, be kind to others, stay safe, but most of all, stay happy!
Cheers,
Stan Deezy
