Default Qatar Bans Alcohol At World Cup Venues

AND at the last minute. This could be in the joke section...

FFS...as someone said this morning "beer and football go together like islam and misery".
The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

Sounds like a good place to boycott. I feel for the fans who have already spent their hard earned dollars on this shamozzle. They should all sue for their money back! Hopefully FIFA get the message and never let this happen again. Even their sponsors should pull all funding until this situation is redressed.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Hopefully Budweiser, the beer sponsor, gets their money back, or they stay the beer sponsor for another 4 years at no charge

At least a lot more of the people going will remember the seeing it.. LOL.
Wasted too many dollars myself, going to music concerts, and not remembering half of them...

I don't remember half of DOING music concerts. I usually needed a lot of booze to gain courage before I could get on the stage.
But I was also responsible for the sound equipment where I still needed to be fairly sober and it is never a good idea to drink too fast.
As a result I often forgot my intros and I had to improvise all kinds of shyte before I finally stumbled onto the correct riff.
Strangely those embarrassing moments I still remembered.

I went to selected concerts to watch and learn and always enjoyed it.
I rarely drank a thing, mostly focused on every move and sound of the guitarist(s).

One I went to in 2000?, a Big Day Out in Sydney, I was approached by 3 different people wanting to know if I had any "stuff". At the time I was mid 40's and had a big beard and long hair, so maybe i fitted a particular profile look? One of the dudes was a bit sus though, he wore nice neat shorts and a polo style collared T shirt and shoes and sox, and was fairly insistent I "must have something" till I told him to fvck off. (he fitted another profile look LOL).

But right at the end, when RHCP were doing their bit, someone asked me if I had a smoke, I said only rollies. He asked if I could roll him one, so I did. Then a few minutes later he passed me a lit rollie.. next thing I know there were 3 or 4 lit rollies being passed around, but it sure wasn't the same tobacco I had... Don't remember much about getting home from that one.

I'm in the crowd here somewhere...
