Some thing sensational has just occurred on Austech that i thought i would never see in my life time
Unanimous dislike and distrust of the media
Now we are starting to getting some where
There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Madness"

Who’s turn to wear the priest outfit this year? Me? Or is it you, and I have to be the nun?
Oh wait, we can’t do that, somebody may be offended…

It's alright Al, nobody has to get offended on your count, there are already people who are permanently offended who can do it for us!
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

Well at least you are simple to get to laugh.

I actually have no clue about NSW Labor, never bothered looking into them as I always voted local independents, just the internal crap that has been going on in the past years of the NSW coalition (and the Fed Gov) displayed pure incompetence.

Unlike you, the majority of voters where aware and sick of that and have chosen a change of the Fed Gov which is working surprisingly well.
A similar story might happen in NSW but I am not betting on it.
As said Perrottet isn't doing such a bad job, despite his strange religious back ground he is not a stubborn stupid conservative, even open for green hydrogen projects and managing 7 kids at home and all the nutters in his party, I actually would raise my hat if I wore one.

Unfortunately I can not vote him in the upcoming NSW election where I live but some NAT fckwit, who I will never vote.

But it also works the other way too. If people are so small minded (maybe self centred) that they don't understand the hurt, that seeing someone wearing a nazi uniform could bring, then maybe they need it pointed out to them.

You're just defending the "anything could be offensive" crowd.

I'm sure there is someone offended by seeing a police uniform too because they met a bad one once in the old country...

It's bullsh!t retrovision in my view. What was acceptable 20 years ago is not acceptable now.

    FFS, I had a golliwog once....what a crime.

A lot of people had to die, including Australians fighting against the uprise of the Nazi regime.
This has nothing to do with being offended but about respect for those who fought and lost their lives for our freedom, that we shouldn't make fun of this.

Your post #25 is out of place, displays just plain stupidity and it now looks to me that you (and Al Bundy) are hypocrites every time you post 'Lest we forget" on the appropriate days.

Hahahaha...what codswallop!!! Jeeez, you delude yourself.

Our posts are EXACTLY what my dads generation fought for. The freedom to be irreverent if you want, and not knuckle under to a regime that is incapable of accepting others or their opinions. Something that the modern left (like you) with your politically correct attitudes seem hell bent on shoving down our throats. Why? Because you just can't help it. And, because like it or not, YOU are the intolerant.

If dads generation had felt so highmindedly offended, they would never have gone to war.

Lest we forget? I never do or will. Well alzheimers excepted anyway...

Do you even comprehend your own posts? You may want to read what you just said above, and then reconcile that with what you said in your quote below… Nothing more to be said.

Do you really believe the tripe you spewed out in your post to justify your argument or it is purely because you want to be seen as contrarian?
It is all about the “I’m offended brigade” an ideal that two of my uncles fought to protect and died for during WWII, that of freedom of speech, that allows you to dribble your rubbish, and allows me to remember them for their heroism and bravery on not only ANZAC day and Remembrance day, but every other day of the year too, and for me to have the right to wear a costume to take the piss out of any person, living or dead, real or imaginary, I’m sure if they were alive right now with all the political correct bullshit that is happening they would be shaking their heads in disbelief and wondering why they bothered.
    Cheers

Your hate against the LEFT just makes you blind to the facts.
It were members of the LIBERAL RIGHT who dug this costume dilemma up to use against Perrottet.

    And then we have this:

So here we have a RIGHT WING government that imposed a ban on Nazi symbols.

You and Al Bundy have a cracked up extremist view of so called "freedom of speech". The KKK and Proud boys would take you with open arms.

In a civilised world there is no such thing as "freedom of speech".
Civilised means freedom from: offence, abuse, threats, hate speech, propaganda lies, racism, defamation, humiliation...

It would be very sad if our forefathers died in wars in order for all that to allow to happen.

We have the freedoms bitterly fought for in two world wars and numerous others before and since. With those freedoms come a responsibility. Yes we can, and should, be prepared to laugh at something meant as intended. If all we ever did was take our comments out of context and got offended for the sake of it. Then we have become a very sad individual. I don't think anyone thought that some of the stuff they got up to as a youth, or young adult would come back to bite them in later life. Especially if it were done in a spirit of frivolity. Heck, I've been known to propose marriage to my team mates on the bowling green when they've made a good shot. I'm gonna be stuffed if someone takes me seriously. All I can say, to those who are offended, GET OVER IT! In this case it was not offensive until you made it so! I got a good e-mail about the Aboriginal Voice in Parliament yesterday and the crap that goes with being an Aboriginal. I could post it here but it is slightly off topic, and I have not verified the source.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

    You poor b*stard. Really? Sigh!

I don't hate the left. HATE...interesting word that the left such as yourself use regularly...no wonder the saying is "no one hates like the left."

My old man told me once to never use that word. He said to me that when he and my uncles were shit scared in New Guinea, the LAST thing on their minds was hate. Hate results in rash decisions that get people killed...they didn't even hate the Japanese. The ONLY thing he ever hated was being there and not with my mum.

You don't have a clue. People like yourself just have to impose thoughts on others. You just can't help it. What is offense? What is abuse?, What is a threat?, What is hate speech? What are propaganda, lies, racism, defamation, humiliation...? People like YOU make rules defining these things BECAUSE of your inate hate of ANYONE that has a differing view. They are what YOU say they are. They mean what YOU say they mean. AND you will form endless committies to judge and rule on them. Roland Freisler would be proud.

Sounds like out and out national socialism to me. No wonder you hate a costume.

Freedom of speech is EXACTLY what it implies, good AND bad. Sometimes I don't like it, but guess what? I'm tolerant....I was born into a tolerant society......

I don't think any society can be tolerant.
    Do you tolerate Putin?

Education and good upbringing that teaches to respect boundaries are the key to a prosperous and peaceful society and those boundaries are not defined by me or as you say people like me(whatever that might mean) but centuries of caring parents passing on their experience, good schooling, law making, etc and yes this will always evolve hopefully for the better, as long as there is are democratic societies that allow it.

Hate: well from many of your responses in the past it certainly sounds like you hate the left.
Hatred is a self protective function that is built into us.
I am not ashamed to say I hate Putin, Hitler, Wagner mercenaries and even Trump.

It might be a good idea to start a new thread about "The Voice" as that will become a rather ongoing event.

I am not ashamed to say I hate Putin, Hitler, Wagner mercenaries and even Trump.
I don't hate the left, I can just see through the radical lefts bullsh!t. The left consists of a small group of people who have gone mental, and a large group of people who are too gutless to call them out...that's all. It's rather simple.

You may think that hate is a "self protective" function, but no, it's NOT built into all of us. It may be built into you, which is a pity really, and like I said...you just can't help forcing your beliefs on others.

Can't hate Hitler or Wagner ... they're dead. Putin is just another desperate thug on the way out. Trump, like Biden, is just a sad joke...which bodes poorly for the US and the world.

Then why don't you start one....?

Give us your wisdom (probably just non specific ALP policy) and we'll discuss it...
