S2001 Rate of Rise Detector
Hi guys
Just wanted some input on these detectors. There is no paperwork ever supplied with them and I've tried various wiring configurations and it doesn't work as I imagine it should
I can get one to work if I don't use any EOL resistors. But, as soon as I add a single EOL it seals ok but shorts on alarm. I've tried various different connections and found documentation online but still doesn't work.
Heres my simple wiring for Single EOL (which doesn't work)
Im using a 4 core but only two wires needed I believe
So, white cable to terminal L1
Resistor from L2 to C2
Blue cable to terminal C1
Using a Bosch 6000, so I can see that when I have the detector part connected, it is showing 3351 ohms (corrrect, as I am using 3K3)
When I remove the base I get 55068 ohms
When fitted and using a hair dryer to test, the red light illuminates and shows a short on the codepad and 611 ohms
Ideas?
Cheers

and click on data sheet.
When it shorts (Alarm) doesn't the zone go into alarm? Just can not use the opposite 6K8 zone.
Or look at trying the invert seal option in zone programming.

Hi there
Yes, it can be used with short, but I was just wondering if there was another way. The main problem is using DEOL. Challenger is ok because it sees 20K or 5K as alarm and copes with this quite well. The problem is with DEOL 6k8/3K3, or Concept 2K2/6K8. I havent found a workaround for these configs yet.
Thanks for your reply
