There have been a few instances of accounts being hacked with SPAM posted from them and links to spam websites inserted in profiles.
There is no indication that the database itself has been compromised, just some individual accounts, likely with very poor passwords.
We recommend all users ensure you have a strong password, Eg: a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.
Any accounts which have been hacked and spam posted will be banned to prevent further spam posts.
If your account has been banned for that reason, please raise a support ticket to advise us, so we can sort it for you.

It might also be worthwhile sending an email to those users telling them that they have been banned and why.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

I'm bumping this, as there has now been several accounts hacked to post SPAM, but only a couple of members contacting us via a support ticket so they can be un-banned.
It's worthwhile for all members to change their password to one with a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.

How to change your password.
On the toolbar at the top of the screen click on Forum Actions > Edit Profile
That will take you to this page:
If your account has been banned, you will not be able to access the page and need to follow the instructions to contact us by raising a support ticket.
If you have been banned DO NOT register a new account, (multiple accounts are not permitted and registering another account will complicate things) just contact us to sort out the ban.
