Renee Geyer dies aged 69

In a statement, Geyer's family said the singer passed away from complications following hip surgery.

"While in hospital, it was discovered that Renee also had inoperable lung cancer," the statement read.

Renee was always one of my favourite female artists.

So many hits from Australia's first lady of soul.

Sorely missed... thanks for your music, Renee.

Wherever you are now... I hope you're "Heading In The Right Direction".

Was that on 2 or 22 so I can get the replay.

I do remember that episode and currently watch the show repeats on 22.

She was definitely the party girl.
Only worked with her twice.
