    Default Antivirus software

Hi, it's been a very long time since I logging in.

I'm looking for some recommendations on Antivirus software. I have been using Trend Micro for a long time, but it is getting expensive. I was interested in Bitdefender but it doesn't support the Amazon Fire Sticks.

    Would appreciate any suggestions.

I really like the way it works, only disappointment is that it doesn't work on the Amazon FireStick. I'm still tossing up whether to forget about security on the Amazon devices, but would have preferred to have them covered.

You would be better off with a firewall appliance to protect your whole network.

Opnsense will run on any old pc you have lying around, just need at least 2 network ports.

Or something plug and play like firewalla purple etc.

Personally I use opnsense with suricata intrusion detection, clam antivirus and ad guard dns.

Very secure and works well at keeping those pesky ads away....

Ok, thanks hoe, that's something else to look at, but I've only got a laptop no old PC's lying around. Will see my nephew, I think he can probably help me out with this.
    Cheers.

Opnsense will run on pretty much any x64 platform, 8g of ram is minimum if you're running intrusion detection / antivirus / dns filtering.
