Today April 1st I did a conversion of Christian channels of off D2 to IS19 Ku. The first conversion work of many to come.
Where to for Optus D2 now. Will it be sent to the outer limits. Who will jump on the 152 deg East slot when D2 is decommissioned?
Cheers

It doesnt have to go anywhere its still working fine for feed uplink, even if they let it go into a small inclined wobble one day. You can bet D2 or D1 will end up in the 164E Optus Slot. Like A3 and B3 and B1 did.

Does anyone know where TRT Türk went?
I dont see it anywhere.
I do see TV PLus currently FTA so tuned someones dish into there for the moment as the Turkish channels are currently FTA but dunno for how long.
TRT World on D3 is English but was coming up next to Aljazeera as "Spare" with no picture when I did a scan today.

Well an update, Optus D2 has started to move, Pretty sure that its heading to 164E. But they could also co-allocate it at 160E with D1 and do a bit of frequency usage juggling

d2 will probably left where it is
d1 being older may go to 164
remember when d2 was launched was full of globecast & UBI
At 158.47 still moving, likely 160E (temporary) or 164E

Back to the question?
TRT Turk started in Intelsat 19 12726 H transponder, fta
D2 is now co-located with D1 at 160 deg East. Watch for feeds.

D1 launched 13 October 2006 is about to expire and so D2 was moved to 160.0°E
Optus 11 was meant to replace D1... looks like Optus 11 is delayed to 2025. D2 was moved to 160 east to take over D1's clients.. see >>
The 152.0°E slot will remain vacant indefinitely.

I am a bit confused - I have a dish aimed at 160E currently, picking up some Channel 7 programmes.
Do I need to change any settings to scan the old 152E Satelite that has been moved to 160E and is now co-locating ?
Thanks for any help.
All of 152.0°E clients have found a new home on Intelsat 19 166.0°E... see ...
Optus effectively shed their 152 business to Intelsat. To view the channels which were at 152°E require a dish pointing to Intelsat 19... As the channels are now on different transponders, you'll need to blind rescan Intelsat 19... Note that the LNB setting orientation is different to that which was at 152.

D2 is handy if D 1 sh#ts itself
only change we may see is d1 could never do V on the nz beam
Some feeds ex D2 @152E are now being seen at 169E H3E (STS9 noted with feeds at times around 11GHZ) and Eutelsat172b @ 172E (12520 H range) most though are at Intelsat19 166E
all ku of course
