Laptop doesn't finish booting without LAN
I have quite strange problem, noticed just recently. My Windows XP SP3 Professional laptop hangs in a middle of booting. It stops somewhere when desktop already up and running. Laptop hangs and doesn't respond even to ctrl-alt-del command.
If I plug in my network cable or turn on wireless card (it has hardware switch for it) windows continues booting as nothing happened.
I am pretty sure the problem wasn't there before as I could use this laptop offline.
Just in case if it is relevant, the laptop is Toshiba and configured for domain (my work laptop).
Any ideas or hints are wellcome as I am quite lost here.

Wiser people using windows will respond but it seems your machine is hanging looking for a connection and has no time out set to abort that. Did you change any networlk settings recently? Check the settings so it looks for a connection to a network but then moves on if it does not find one . God knows how you do that in Windows.
