    Default Croatian TV

    Hi guys,

Did a bit of searching couldnt come up with clear results.

i need all those channels, trying to put together present for my grandmother.

was wondering what steps I need to take, I am not interested in doing myself but would rather a professional install.

Im not sure if some of those channels are pay channels in Croatia but I would assume that I can pay for those services here in Australia as well.

    Please advise and thanks alot.

there's a lot of ethnic stuff on Optus D2

but just because these channels exist, doesn't mean you can get them in Australia.

As for what you can get, I don't know sorry, not speaking Croatian, this is of no personal interest to me.

From the link posted i think CMC is the only one beamed into Australia.

What is avaliable in Aus is locked up tight, ive been trying to get them for my old man for ages.

Unsure if theres a gamma card to unlock them.

Picture of Croatia and CMC use to be FTA, Pink and Pink plus were also FTA at one stage. There all locked via irdeto2 ATM.

Pay for a sub is another way to get them but not cheap.

I see. Pay for a sub? Sorry can you clarify that comment.

Also I just stumbled upon this link.

Seems the have HRT and CMC but at subscription costs, not sure why you would have to pay for channels that are free to air in europe.

Let me know your thoughts cheers.

Let you have my thoughts on this?

Without using 4 lettered words, not too happy considering that they are free back in the father land.

Its a shame that the Croation Govt does not subsidise these channels for their people overseas. I belive the Greek govt does this for their people on one channel (ERT i think but unsure)

I put up 2 dishes for my father while it was FTA, to catch Picture of Croatia, CMC and pink but must point out that the majority of music on CMC is modern pop groups with the odd old Kola (dance song) that may interest your Grandmother. The rest of the music is for a younger generation.

Picture of Croatia was rubbish being repeated over and over again.

Never got any HRT so cannot comment on the content.

Not the best selection of programs for the oldies.

I reckon the US gov should subsidise the programing that is broadcast at home for all their expats here in Oz instead of making them (er us )pay for it
I would guess the reason the Greek gov subsidises ERT is becasue of the large population of greeks here.

True but the costs of subs take a large cut out of the pensions of the people most interested in watching.

At least if one was FTA would mean alot to those who have their homeland in their hearts.

Difficult for those who were born here like myself to understand.

Yes leroy, i belive they call Melbourne the second Athens
