I know of a CMS that does this, but generally its on alarm activation.
IF the DVR and CCTV Cameras are decent, is the footage being sent to the police?
Does anyone know if there is someone who provides a service to monitor DVRs/CCTV systems offsite 24HRs a day?
I have 4 large (seperate) residential apartment blocks that are having vandalism problems and a guard will end up costing too much in the long run.
I know of the products on the market that send images upon alarm activations but the areas I would like covered are high traffic areas and as such are unsuitable.
The sites currently have standard DVRs (Geovision, Pacom PDR 16 etc) installed with networking capabiliites, should I be looking to upgrade?
Thanks in advance.

A few monitoring stations do provide this service, ring around and get prices. Most DVR's have alarm capabilities, tied in to a monitored alarm system, control rooms can log into the DVR upon alarm and provide visual verification of an alarm.
I was thinking of something like random virtual patrols, its mainly for the cameras in the entry foyers and lift cars so there is no way to send alarm signals because they are in constant use 24/7.
Yep just tendered on a massive Live video system the other day, professional company does exist, random patrols or 24/7 view-record offsite, cheap to considering $ 4.40 p/h RR

Try WestCoast Security in South Australia.
They will monitor any Indigo Vision IP CCTV products on standard ADSL

Your always garunteed of a SKAM with MAKS (MAX)
Have they improved their service, when I was on the coast quite a number of yrs ago, They weren't the best company to deal with.
wouldnt have a clue about there service mate, only "know" of them, never dealt with 'em
I can put you onto a company that will monitor any DVR providing it has a composite output. The reason for this is there is no standards in the network side of DVR's and often the bandwidth is huge and the monitoring station will requiore lots of different softwares running.
The solution is to hang an IndigoVision codec of the DVR composite and a serial connection to the the DVR joysick input (if it has one). This gives a standard formate with some control and only needs 256Kbps (min) bandwidth.

Have a chat with ADT, they can do it wirelessly or over a network link.
I just finished a large pilot for a Very Very large Australian energy provider. It was to setup remote sites with a challenger and DVR and view/monitor it all wirelessly. Works a treat over 3G
